hmmmmmmmmmm part3

cool poem about hijab @ scarf @ tudung...tribute to the ladies... :)
Hijab Poem

It's so hard to get away from it all, because everywhere I go there I am........

What do you see when you look at me?
Do you see someone limited , or someone free?
All some people can do is just look and stare,
Simply because they can't see my hair.
Others think that I am controlled and uneducated.

They think that I am limited and not liberated,
They are so thankful that they are not me,
Because they would like to remain "free".
Well free isn't exactly the word I would've used,
Describing women who are cheated on and abused.

They think that I do not have opinions or a voice ,
They think that being hooded isn't my choice,
They think that the hood makes me look caged,
That my husband or dad are totally outraged,
All they can do is look at me in fear,
In my eye there is a tear.

Not because I have been stared at or made fun of,
But because people are ignoring the One up above.
On the day of judgement , they will be the fools,
Because they were too ashamed to play by their own rules.

Maybe the guys won't think I am a cutie,
But at least I am filled with more inner beauty.
See I have declined from being a guy's toy,
Because I won't let myself be controlled by a boy,
Real men are able to appreciate my mind,
They aren't busy looking at my behind..

Hooded girls are the ones really helping the Muslim cause,
The role that we play definitely deserves applause.
I will be recognized because I am smart and bright,
Some people are inspired by my sight.

The smart ones are attracted by my tranquilty,
In the back of their minds they wish they were me,
We have the strength to do what we think is right,
Even if it means putting up a life long fight,

You see we are not controlled by a mini skirt and tight shirt,
We are given only respect , and never treated like dirt,
So you see, we are the ones that are free and liberated,
We are not the ones that are sexually terrorized and violated.

We are the ones that are free and pure,
We're free of STD's that have no cure,
So when people ask you how you feel about the hood,
Just sum it up by saying "baby it's all good"

Qn:erm is there any specific days to fast during the month of Syaa'ban?

Ans:
The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was keen on fasting in the month of Sha`ban more than he was in other months. `A'ishah (may Allah be pleased with her) reported that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) never fasted for a whole month except in Ramadan. This refutes what some people do; observing fast for three consecutive months: Rajab, Sha`ban and Ramadan, followed by six days of Shawwal . That is, they start fasting at the beginning of Rajab until the seventh of Shawwal, leaving nothing but the Day of `Eidul-Fitr. Neither the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) nor his Companions or even their successors were reported to have done so.

The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to fast some days of every month. `A'ishah (may Allah be pleased with her) said that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) sometimes would observe fasting continuously, to the extent that his Companions thought he would never break fast, and in other times he would refrain from fasting to the extent that they thought he would never fast again.

The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) usually observed fasting on Mondays and Thursdays and three days of each month (the 13th , 14th and 15th). He sometimes used to fast every alternate day, following the pattern of Prophet Dawud (peace be upon him). He even made this clear: “The best way of fasting in Allah’s sight is that of Dawud, who used to observe fasting every alternate day.”

The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to observe fasting in Sha`ban more than he did in other months. This was a kind of self-preparation for the coming of Ramadan; that is, to act as some sort of girding oneself for Ramadan. But there are no textual evidence that there are specific days in Sha`ban in which fasting is commendable. It is, by and large, impermissible for one to prefer certain days to observe voluntary fasting or certain nights to perform Night Prayers, lacking any juristic basis for that action. Religious acts are not left for man’s whims. Rather, they are subject to Divine legislation. Thus, specifying certain times and places for worship and the description of different acts of worship are the matters of the Divine, not that of human.

hmmmm..

QUESTION: I would like to know if the 15th night of Sha`ban has a special significance and if the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) celebrated it. I would like also to know if there are special prayers or specific invocations recommended during this night ?

ANSWER:

In his response to your question, Sheikh `Atiyyah Saqr, former head of Al-Azhar Fatwa Committee, states:

There are three points to be discussed in handling the question in hand:

1.The first point has to do with whether the 15th night of Sha`ban has a special significance;

2. the second concentrates on whether the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) celebrated this night;

3.the third tackles whether there are special acts to celebrate this night or special supplications to invoke Almighty Allah with.

Bulan Syaaban

Hey there!!!long time no hear yar?haha...hope all are in good health insyaAllah..ameen..

anyways....what is it about bulan syaaban that is fascinating?well for one,its the month right before RAMADAN!!!!!!!!!!! -applause- ok seriously, let's take time off and think of all our MANY good deeds we have done over the past years of our lives...

Syaaban...those who have yet to payback their fast,i guess this is the best time to do so....preferably before 15 syaaban i think.....

When was the last time we seek forgiveness from Him? When was the last time we followed what was instructed by Him? When was the last time we did something bad and we didn't repent? When was the last time we forget about Him? Astarghfirullah...

Syaaban....my fellow brothers and sisters, just remember that KIAMAT, the Day, is anytime sooner or later....if we have iman in all of us, if we trust the He is Almighty and Nabi Muhammad s.a.w. is his Messenger, just hope that we wont see the Qiamat...One told me that so long as you have iman in ur soul, u will be spared from the tortures of Qiamat...its either u die in peace just before Qiamat or if u kufur, u will see the destruction.....Na'udzu billah minzallik...(sorry if typo error)

guys,it is still not too late to repent no matter how bad you have done....please repent and go back to the right track.....please be aware that there is indeed afterlife....we are here temporarily.....u just try and extract your back tooth or your wisdom tooth? does it hurt????badly??? can you imagine how terrible it will be in hell?????

imagine the sun is juz distance away from your head?can u?i cant....but we know for sure that we are going to face it......guys, we have seen many bad things....let's see the good things....let's do something..instead of reprimanding the ever-increase number of abortions and shortgun marriage, let's think of ways to prevent it....stop insulting these people whom we labelled them as "anak melayu sesat"....we must help them....

i guess we must help each other to prevent ourselves from the hellfire..we all want paradise..hence let's work for it...think of ways to help the society.....think of ways to help your own family......if your family is not in good situation, think of logical consequences...seek professional help if you need to..remember,we are in this world for a reason...its paradise that we are seeking for...

hope this little message spreads and may there be many who are awake from this world and step up to better prepare themselves for the afterlife...

sorry of ive offended anyone from this post.....sekian.....

"may Allah s.w.t. bless those arwahs that were related to us one way or another...jauhilah dari siksa kubur, jauhilah kami dari menghina, dihina, ber-gosip, merasa dengki...teranglah hati kami, tenanglah dan ampunilah dosa2 ibu-bapa kami,adik-beradik,kawan-kawanku dan segala umat Islam di dunia ini....."
