Virtues of hajj & umrah

The Prophet (pbuh) said: “Umrah is an expiation for the time between it and the previous ‘Umrah’ and an accepted Hajj has no less a reward than Paradise”. (Narrated by al-Bukhari 1683, Muslim 1349).

The Prophet (pbuh) said: “He who performs Hajj and does not speak obscenely or commit evil then he returns just as the day his mother gave birth to him” (Narrated by Bukhaari, Ahmed, Nasai and Ibn Majah from Abu Hurairah).

The Prophet (pbuh) said: “There is no day on which Allah frees more of His slaves from Fire than the Day of Arafah.” (Narrated Aisha, Ummul Mu’minin).

The Messenger of Allah (pbuh) was asked which deed is the best? He said, “Belief in Allah and His messengers. He was asked, then what? He said, Jihad for the sake of Allah. He was asked, then what? He said, Hajj Mabrour (an accepted Hajj).” (Narrated by al-Bukhaari 26).

Hmm let's ponder as to why we have to perform hajj?
(this is depicted from a reliable islam online website..)

Performing pilgrimage (Hajj) is the fifth pillar of Islam and the most significant manifestation of Islamic faith and unity.

Performing pilgrimage (Hajj) is the fifth pillar of Islam and the most significant manifestation of Islamic faith and unity.

Allah (swt) says:(And proclaim to mankind the Hajj. They will come to you on foot and on every lean camel, they will come from every deep and distant mountain highway)[Qur?an 22:27]

Undertaking the Hajj at least once is a duty for all Muslims who are physically and financially able to make the journey to Makkah. The emphasis on financial ability is meant to ensure that a Muslim takes care of his family first. The requirement that a Muslim be healthy and physically capable of undertaking the pilgrimage is intended to exempt those who cannot endure the rigors of extended travel.

Allah (swt) says:(Pilgrimage thereto is a duty men owe to Allah, those who can afford the journey; but if any deny faith, Allah stands not in need of any of his creatures.) [Qur?an 3: 97]

Hmmm let's solve the mystery question..
What is the difference between haj, umrah and mecca?
Haj - There are 3 types of haj..Check this out.... (to readers, if u think i got the wrong info, pls let me know..im still in the learning process hence forgive me if i'm wrong..)

Hajj Ifrad: The pilgrim pronounces intention to perform only Hajj.

Hajj Qiran: The pilgrim pronounces niyyah (intention) of performing both Hajj and Umrah simultaneously with the same Ihram and actions like Tawaaf and others. Or the pilgrim pronounces Umrah first then adds intention of Hajj on it before starting Tawaaf. Actions to be done by Mufrid and Qarin are the same, but Qarin is under an obligation to offer an animal sacrifice while Mufrid is under no obligation to do so.

Hajj Tamattu: The pilgrim pronounces intention to perform only Umrah during the Hajj months (Sahwwal, Dhul-Qidah and the first eight days of Dhul-Hejjah). The pilgrim performs Umrah and then abandons Ihram after Umrah. And all which was unlawful in the state of Ihram is now lawful such as usual garments and intercourse with the spouse until the 8th of Dhul-Hijjah arrives. On this day, the pilgrim pronounces intention from the place of residence in Makkah for the performance of the rites of Hajj.(This type is the most recommended).

If you wanna know more on hajj, do let me know. Im only answering what is hajj. I didn't elaborate further...If you want more details, tell me k? :)

Now, part 2..what is umrah?
(I'm not really good in answering this questions. This is because I'm still very green in this field..However, i will try my best to find out and at the same, learn from it.. :) )
I think its just a visit to our sacred place..A visit durign the time outside Hajj period...Hmm i can't get much info on this... :(
(I'll get back on this real soon!!InsyaAllah)

Now, part 3...
what is mecca?
It's a place where we go and perform our hajj lor... In it, there's ka'abah...hmmm if u wanna know more, do let me know..
mecca is like a state in Saudi Arabia..it's like tampines in Singapore..it's a name of a town...k?

Once again,if im wrong, readers, please let me know...syukran..
jazzakallahu khair....

firstly, may i take this opportunity to thank the creator of this blogskin..may Allah bless him/her...Ameen..

Hmmm now that we have the song, let's try to remember the meanings....not only reciting, it's strongly advisable to know what u recite....is that true guys? :)
pS: i cant get the english version of this song though....hehe......

"Waqala rabbukumu odAAoonee astajib lakum"
"Tuhanmu semua berfirman: Berdoalah engkau semua pada Ku, pasti Aku mengabulkan doamu semua itu." - Ghafir:60

Guys, a doa for u to ponder...its good lah... :)
Rasulullah s.a.w. pernah berdoa dengan doa berikut:

Peeps the reason why im having such interesting entries is simply because i realised I have been neglecting my religious knowledge every now and then....hence, by blogging it, i hope i can remember what I've learnt and perform my duties as a Muslim......my entries are not for boasting around with the little knowledge that i have...in fact, i would love if the reader could share any information they have...we learn through sharing too right?

Detik-detik Rasulullah SAW Menghadapi Sakaratul Maut

Peepz, it's something that all must know and take the necessary actions....haiz i 7433-83277-567!!!! secret....only the smarties can crack the code..haha :)
Detik-detik Rasulullah SAW Menghadapi Sakaratul Maut.........

Matahari kian tinggi, tapi pintu rumah Rasulullah masih tertutup.

"Bolehkah saya masuk?" tanyanya.

Tanya Jibril lagi."Khabarkan kepadaku bagaimana nasib umatku kelak?" "Jangan khawatir, wahaiRasulAllah, aku pernah mendengar Allah berfirman kepadaku: 'Kuharamkan syurgabagisiapa saja, kecuali umat Muhammad telah berada di dalamnya," kata Jibril.

Detik-detik semakin dekat, saatnya Izrail melakukan tugas. Perlahan ruhRasulullah ditarik. Nampak seluruh tubuh Rasulullah bersimbah peluh,urat-urat lehernya menegang.

Bibirnya bergetar seakan hendakmembisikkan sesuatu, Ali segera mendekatkan telinganya."Uushiikum bis shalati, wa maa malakat aimanuku, peliharalah shalat danpeliharalah orang-orang lemah di antaramu." Di luar pintu tangis mulaiterdengar bersahutan, sahabat saling berpelukan. Fatimah menutupkan tangandi wajahnya, dan Ali kembali mendekatkan telinganya ke bibir Rasulullahyang mulai kebiruan.

"Ummatii, ummatii, ummatiii?"

Kerana sesungguhnya selain daripadaituhanyalah fana belaka.

Life.......is it tough?

Have you ever ever ever wonder what does surah Al-Fatiha means? every word? hmm i manage to get the english translation but mind you, the meaning of the translated words are totally different from the original arabic meanings... :)

Al-Fatiha simply means the Opening...Now you know why read Al-Fatiha first before any other surahs? :)

Al-Fatiha 7 verses The Opening
1
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.
2
Praise be to Allah, the Cherisher and Sustainer of the worlds;
3
Most Gracious, Most Merciful;
4
Master of the Day of Judgment.
5
You (Alone) we worship, and You (Alone) we ask for help (for each and everything).
6
Show us the straight way,
7
The Way of those on whom You have bestowed Your Grace , not (the way) of those who earned Your Anger, nor of those who went astray.

Wow...nice right? ok the next time you recite, try and recall the meanings....i can assure you if you are sincere insyaAllah you will have a good experience doing your prayers...Ameen :)

I have 1 more....Now every now and then we complained that we have problems here, problems there....have you ever wonder why is there such a thing called "problem"?
haha....after learning that there is 1 of the surah, i realised that problems are to there to guide us, guide us to the Right path....that is if we choose to go to the Right path...take a look at surah Al-Balad...By the way, Al-Balad means the City....and if i'm not wrong, this surah is referring to the city of Mekkah...

1
Nay! I swear by this city.
2
And you shall be made free from obligation in this city--
3
And the begetter and whom he begot.
4
Certainly We have created man to be in distress.
5
Does he think that no one has power over him?

It's evident doesn't it? so? get on our feet and start solving problems pro-actively!!!! :)
salaam.... :)

hijab(tudung..)

Typical reason from a Muslim sister for not wearing hijab:
It's not time for that yet. I'm still too young for wearing hijab. I'll do it when I get older and after I make Hajj!

The Angel of Death my sister, is visiting and waiting at your door for the order of Allah Ta`ala to open it on you at any moment in your life. Allah said:

When their term comes, neither can they delay it nor can they advance it an hour (or a moment). [Sura Al-An'aam 7:34].

Death my sister doesn't discriminate between the young or the old and it may come while you are in this state of great sinfulness disobedience, fighting against the Lord of Honor with your uncovering and shameless adornment. My sister, you should race to obedience along with those others who race to answer the call of Allah (S.W.T):

Race with one another in hastening towards forgiveness from your Lord and Paradise the width whereof is as the width of the heavens and the earth. [Sura Al-Hadeed 57:21]

Sister, don't forget Allah or He will forget you by turning His mercy away from you in this life and the next. You are forgetting your own soul by not fulfilling the right of your soul to obey Allah and proper worship of Him. Allah stated about the hypocrites (Al-Munaafiqoon) :

And be not like those who forgot Allah and He caused them to forget their own selves. [Sura Al-Hashr 59:19]

My sister, wear the hijab in your young age in opposition to the sinful deeds because Allah is intense in punishment and will ask you on the Day of Resurrection about your youth and every moment of your life.

In summary: Stop presuming some future expectation in your life will indeed occur! How can you guarantee your own life until tomorrow?

Your body is on display in the market of Shaitaan seducing the hearts of men. The hairstyles, the tight clothing showing every detail of your figure, the short dresses showing off your legs and feet, and the showy, decorative and fragrant clothing all anger the Merciful and please the Shaitaan. Every day that passes while you are in this condition distances you further from Allah and brings you closer to Shaitaan. Each day curses and anger are directed toward you from the heavens until you repent. Every day brings you closer to the grave and the Angel of Death is ready to capture your soul.

Everyone shall taste death. And only on the Day of Resurrection shall you be paid your wages in full. And whoever is removed away from the Hellfire and admitted to Al-Jannah, is indeed successful. The life of this world is only the enjoyment of deception (a deceiving thing). [Sura Aale 'Imraan 3:185]

Get on the train of repentance my sister, before it passes by your station. Deeply consider my sister, what is happening today before tomorrow comes. Think about it, my sister - Now, before it is too late!

(i got it from a reliable source... :) )
My dearest sisters in Islam, i'm worried, not about money, not about BGR, i'm scared to see my sisters in Islam suffering from Hellfire for their wrong doings...im not being a busybody...i myself have commited alot of sins and i hope Allah will forgive us all....insyaAllah...

may Allah bless us all and hopefully no one gets offended instead, take it as a learning journey... jazakallahu khair...

Rasulullah s.a.w. pernah berdoa dengan doa berikut:
- it's quite a wordy doa but do put this in our daily doa....insyaAllah Allah membalas keikhlasan kita...Ameen...

Salaam peepz.....

distress

ok guys, read these short verses. It's from a hadith...
hmmm i have a few question myself...when we duduk tahiyat akhir, we ought to point our finger right? i've heard from a guy that when we point our finger, we are actually making contact with iblis..i'm not sure if this is true..hope someone can help me out with this....hmmm off i go n research!!!haha...

The Messenger(sallallah u alayhi wa sallam) of Allah said: "Whoever relieves a believer of distress in this world, Allah will relieve him of some of the distress of the Day of Resurrection. Whoever makes things easy for those who are in difficulty, Allah will make things easy for him in this world and in the next. Whoever conceals (the faults of) a Muslim in this world, Allah will conceal him (his faults) in this world and in the Hereafter. Allah will help the slave so long as the slave helps his brother." [Mishkaat al-Masaabeeh, 1/71, hadith no. 204.]

Abdullah ibn 'Umar(R.A.) reported that the Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) said: "The Muslim is the brother of his fellow-Muslim; he should not mistreat him or let him down. Whoever meets the needs of his brother, Allah will meet his needs, and whoever relieves a Muslim of some distress, Allah will relieve him of some of the distress of the Day of Resurrection. Whoever conceals (the faults of) a Muslim, Allah will conceal him (his faults) in this world and the next." [Bukhari]

12 barisan di akhirat

check this out peeps.......
su, u might want to advise your frens not to drink. This is a sensitive issue...be careful when u tell them...haha...
12 Barisan di Akhirat
Suatu ketika, Muaz b Jabal ra mengadap Rasulullah SAW dan bertanya:
"Wahai Rasulullah, tolong huraikan kepadaku mengenai firman Allah SWT:

So which barisan would you like to be in? :)
